Long Distance Access Code (International only) All international long distance calls require the use of an authorization code. Using the authorization code for personal toll calls is a violation of the State Statures. If personal calls were made using the access code, a check should be made payable to USF and presented to the Finance and Accounting Cashier (ADM 147) along with an Expense Refund Data Sheet form. To attain a LDAC, please fill out this form signed by an accountable officer and send to Information Technology. There is no charge for the code, but each individual department will be billed for international long distance call usage. Service Level: 48-hour turnaround time. Questions regarding the LDAC should be directed to Telecom Billing at (813) 974-9620 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Calling CardsThe University offers this provision for toll service calls when off campus attending university business. Card issued at no charge. Department will be billed for long distance call usage. To attain a calling card, please fill out the Calling Card Request form signed by an accountable officer and the card user. Complete the form and fax to Telecom Billing at (813) 974-3054. Calls from landlines in foreign hotels often carry a hotel-imposed surcharge. Be aware of your hotel’s dial policy to fully understand its effect on international dial charges. Service Level: 48-hour turnaround time. Note on International Rates: The current contract for calling card services provides very favorable rates for direct-dialed calls for both domestic and international call destinations. However, for international calls there may be significant surcharges for activity involving a cellular phone at the foreign destination. Many foreign countries place steep surcharges, sometimes between $4 and $6/minute on calls arriving at cellular phones. To reduce overall calling costs, USF Calling Card holders should take appropriate care when making international calls to determine if they are calling a regular land line or a cellular phone.
