Technology Acquisition PDF Print E-mail

Efficient and effective technology acquisition is a goal in support of USF’s Strategic Plan and consistent with the objectives and benefits as stated in USF Policy 0-518 the Technology Acquisition Policy.  This section is designed to explain technology procurement processes and serve as an information resource for the USF community.

USF Policy 0-518 establishes the University Technology Standard Board (UTSB) as the body which recommends what technology standards should be established. Products and services which are recommended by the UTSB and approved by the Vice President for Information Technology can be purchased without further approval unless certain thresholds, listed in the sections below, are exceeded. The UTSB will continuously recommend standards to accommodate changes in technology and needs. For further information on the UTSB standards, click here.
